On February 28th, the BCC approved an $8.6 million emergency communications and operations center.  The vote was 5 to 0.

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC)/Communications Center will serve as the central dispatching unit for public safety in Lake County, house public safety offices and an Emergency Operations Center.  The facility will also house a training room and central traffic monitoring facility.
